Customer Support Manager

“I absolutely love the CapeSpace environment and people here”

1. What is your current occupation?
I manage a team of Escalation Support Engineers for Citrix which is a secure virtualization software company.

2. What do you love most about your job & why?
I get to work with highly intelligent engineers all day and assist them to ensure we deliver outstanding Technical Customer Service. I really enjoy working with an unhappy customer and helping to set their expectations appropriately and ensure they know that their issue is my priority to help resolve. Then I make sure to get the right resources aligned and ensure proper communication of status to the customer is in place. Leading a team and ensuring they have everything they need to be successful is completely satisfying.

3. What has changed in your industry in the past five years?
The ability to work from anywhere at anytime on any machine. Citrix is the leader in secure desktop virtualization which allows me to work off of my iPad, iPhone or my laptop and be able to have the same Windows machine interface on all of them. It’s a game changer for remote workers and I am working to prove that a commonly office centric team like Tech Support can be done remotely and effectively.

4. How has CapeSpace improved your work life?
My office in Marlborough consolidated into our Burlington MA office earlier this year which added another hour to an already 90 minute commute. I can work from my home office, but I absolutely love the CapeSpace environment and people here. I have a hard time focusing when I am at home where here I am in a more productive mindset. Seeing the same people here every day helps to build those relationships that typical remote workers end up missing.

5. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I have a 10 year old and a 6 year old who keep me very busy and give me a perspective on life that is unlike any other. I really enjoy exploring the Cape and finding new places to eat or a new view I have not discovered yet.

6. What is your favorite place on Cape Cod?
There is a tiny little public dock on the Centerville River that I love. Walking along the Canal or sitting at the Marina in Sandwich…it’s home to me.

7. If you could invite any three people living or dead to a dinner party who would they be and why?
I would love to have a last dinner with two of my Grandfathers. Now that I am an adult, I miss their guidance and would love an opportunity to have that conversation. I also think a dinner with Elon Musk would truly be entertaining, enlightening and educational for certain!

8. What is your superpower?
The ability to like deadlines…I rather enjoy the whooshing noise they make as they go by. 🙂
